One day I was playing some guitar chords when a melody line popped into my head with the lyric "You're my little toe." I initially thought it was a weird thing to sing, but as the rest of the lyrics came out, it emerged as a metaphor and a tribute to the unsung heroes in our lives.

After all, we don't really think about our little toes but they are instrumental in given us balance and keeping us upright.
